The children’s display and medal presentation

DanceRite recently held its annual children’s display and medal presentation. We are happy to say all the DanceRite children took part (from age 3 to 15) in this fun event, it took many weeks of preparation and the children worked very hard to make sure they were all ready for the big day.

Many family and friends came along to show their support, we are proud to say this was the best attendance we have ever had at a display event. The evening started with a group number danced to “Making your mind up” by Bucks Fizz and then we moved onto the solo dance section, this was rounded off with a finale number danced to “Do your thing” by the artist Chantz.

After much rapturous applause everyone settled back down into their seats, out came the cameras and videos as they medal presentation commenced. On a personal note Fredric and I would like to say a BIG thank you to the children for all their efforts and we very much look forward to planning next years event.

The adult medal presentation

Just a couple of weeks after the children’s event DanceRite held its annual adult medal presentation; again we are proud to announce a fabulous turnout for this event. We started off the evening with some great music and dancing enjoyed by all, by mid-way through everyone was getting ready and settling down for the main attraction of the evening.

Firstly we announced and presented everyone with their well deserved certificates and awards, this year we were very lucky as we also had our very own photographer (Sarah) and video man (Vince) on hand to recode all the proceedings. Finally at the end of the presentation the long awaited moment of the Highest Mark award trophies had arrived, this years winners were as follows:

Our final award which is the DanceRite Special Award which was presented to Christine for her continued help and support shown towards us in so many ways, there are many fabulous people who assist us at DanceRite and it goes without saying we are very grateful to each and everyone of you for your support and making our school the success it is.

We also had two runners up on this occasion who were Sheila Sallows and Maureen Durn who again have on many occasions shown themselves to be great members of DanceRite.
