Fredric and I had just stepped off a cruise ship less than a week before Bournemouth! We all knew the preparation time was tight but were raring to go to be ready for the first competition of 2014. As a school we all hit the ground running and cherished the opportunity of being back in full dance mode.

At last the day had arrived, some travelled up on the Saturday to make a long weekend of it and others got up at the crack of dawn to make the journey to the beautiful pavilion ballroom.

One by one the dancers started arriving and in no time the ballroom was a virtual colidascope awash with wonderful colours and sparkling dresses. After a warm up everyone collected their competition number and the dancing commenced.

We’re incredibly proud of each and everyone of our DanceRite students. Everyone achieved recalls. Nearly all our students made their finals and took another BIG step towards achieving their goals. There was alot of silverware taken home from this event. I think many new shelves and display cabinets are being assembled as I write this! We’re sure it marks the beginning of another successful year for our DanceRite students. We can’t wait for it all to happen again and with the Southend competition just around the corner excitement is once again building.

Well done DanceRite you truly make us proud.

27 DanceRite students took part in the competition. The final results tally is as follows;

1st x 3

2nd x 9 Let’s make those firsts next time! 🙂
3rd x 3
4th x 11
5th x 8
6th x 2

Semi finalists x 10

Fantastic everyone, keep up the amazing work

Love Fredric and Vicki
